With extensive experience in clinical psychology, child and adolescent mental health, education, and community leadership, Dr. Jason Ringo brings a unique blend of professional expertise, academic rigor, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Ringo specializes in providing diagnostic clarity through comprehensive psychological assessments including cognitive, ADHD, autism, emotional, and learning disabilities evaluations. He also specializes in delivering evidence-based, culturally-sensitive cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and integrates other modalities such Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) to support clients with OCD, tics, autism, and other behavior, anxiety, and depression-related challenges. Dr. Ringo is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients and parents feel heard, understood, and empowered. Building a trusting and secure relationship is central to his approach, ensuring that families feel comfortable addressing their concerns and working toward meaningful progress.
Dr. Ringo earned his Ph.D. from McGill University in Montreal, Canada where the focus of his research was on autistic traits and hemispheric asymmetry in autism. He completed his predoctoral internship in the Outpatient Department (OPD) and Early Childhood Disorders program (ECD) in the Child Psychiatry Department at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Canada. Dr. Ringo subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Neuropsychology and in the Psychiatric Mental Health Program at Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. He is licensed to provide psychological services in the state of Maryland.
Outside of the office, Dr. Ringo enjoys spending time with his wife and children and learning about new and exciting places to visit.
