Psychological, Psychoeducational, and Neuropsychological Evaluations

Our evaluation services assess children and adults for a variety of developmental, learning, and functional challenges. We evaluate areas such as intelligence, academic skills, executive functioning (attention, planning, impulse control), memory, language, and social-emotional development. Individuals often seek these evaluations to document or rule out conditions such as ADHD or learning disabilities, or to understand how emotional factors such as anxiety or depression may impact academic or work performance.

Evaluations begin with an initial session to gather background information and assess areas of concern.Testing occurs over 2-3 days using standardized tools and and may include collateral input (ie: teacher, spouse, etc.) and classroom observations. Once complete, we schedule a feedback meeting to discuss results, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations.  This information is then provided as a detailed written report.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Neurodevelopmental Evaluations

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental disorder that affects communication, social interaction, and behavior. We offer specialized evaluations for children as young as 5 years to assess for ASD and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Evaluations may be appropriate when concerns arise regarding delayed language, lack of social engagement, or restricted behaviors.

The ASD evaluation process includes an initial information gathering session followed by other measures, which may include a developmental assessment, standardized play-based interactions, and classroom/daycare observations. For school-aged children and adolescents, we assess intellectual ability, academic skills, executive functioning, language, and social-emotional development. Adult testing includes adaptive and vocational assessments. We utilize the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), a gold-standard tool for diagnosing ASD, along with other evidence-based measures. After the evaluation, we provide a feedback session and detailed report.
