
Ph.D., Psychologist & Post-doctoral Fellow
Dr. Ross is a clinical psychologist and post-doctoral fellow with five years of experience providing evidence-based treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. He specializes in the treatment of trauma-related challenges, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and ADHD. He additionally works frequently with individuals as they navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, and chronic illness. Dr. Ross approaches his work with warmth, curiosity, and flexibility.
He takes an integrative and culturally sensitive approach to his work with clients, blending components of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Further, Dr. Ross received specialized training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and is certified in the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders (UP) for adults, which is a form of CBT that helps individuals learn new ways of responding to uncomfortable emotions.
Dr. Ross earned his PhD from the University of Rochester where he focused his research on the impact of childhood trauma on the mental and physical health of adolescents and young adults. He additionally completed his predoctoral internship at Emory University School of Medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Ross enjoys playing tennis and pickleball and exploring new restaurants around the DMV.
