Ms. Carmichael is a licensed clinician with nearly 20 years of experience treating children, teens, and adults. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Catholic University and is licensed in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia. Her training includes Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Parent Management Training (PMT), and treatment for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs).
She specializes in anxiety, depression, OCD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), BFRBs (such as hair pulling and skin picking), and chronic illness. She also works with clients navigating life transitions and relationship issues, and provides parent training for childhood and young adult challenges.
Ms. Carmichael uses evidence-based methods tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Carmichael is a mom of four, an outdoor enthusiast, and a creative chef who loves experimenting with unexpected ingredients.
