Dr. Myerberg is a licensed psychologist with almost a decade of experience in the field. Throughout her career, she has provided individual, group, and parent-focused therapy, as well as comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments in various settings, including community and specialty clinics, hospitals, and schools.
Dr. Myerberg holds a PhD and an MA in Clinical Psychology from Temple University, along with an MA in Psychology from The Catholic University of America. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Alvord, Baker & Associates and a predoctoral internship at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Unit. She is licensed to practice in Maryland and is PSYPACT certified.
Dr. Myerberg specializes in treating children, adolescents, and young adults who present with a range of clinical issues, including mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, behavioral/emotional dysregulation, and ADHD.
She has particular expertise in exposure therapy for youth anxiety disorders, having gained extensive training in this area through the Child and Adolescent Anxiety Disorders Clinic at Temple University under the supervision of Dr. Philip Kendall. Her integrative therapeutic approach emphasizes evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) that is culturally sensitive. Dr. Myerberg incorporates techniques from other empirically supported treatments, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and behavioral parent training, to tailor her interventions to each client’s unique needs.
Beyond her professional work, Dr. Myerberg has recently embraced improv as a new hobby. She also enjoys spending time with her two cats and tending to her large collection of houseplants.
