
Psy.D., Psychologist
With over 18 years of clinical experience, Dr. Wilson is a warm, collaborative, and highly skilled psychologist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, complex chronic health issues, parenting skills, and behavior management. She also provides therapy to young adults navigating life transitions. Dr. Wilson received her B.S. in psychology and M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Howard University. She received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology, and completed her postdoctoral residency and fellowship training at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Wilson has specialized experience in pediatric integrated primary care and rehabilitation psychology.
Dr. Wilson is licensed in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, and has held positions across a range of clinical settings, including the University of Maryland Medical Center, Kennedy Krieger Institute, Children’s National Hospital, and Kaiser Permanente. Her therapeutic style is grounded in collaboration and evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions. Dr. Wilson believes that meaningful, sustainable change happens when caregivers, educators, and healthcare providers work together, and partners with schools, pediatricians, and specialists to ensure that children receive holistic support across environments.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Wilson has served in leadership roles advancing equity and inclusion in healthcare, most recently as Assistant Director of the Office for Health, Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity at Kennedy Krieger Institute.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Wilson is a proud parent of 2 children in middle and high school, and enjoys cooking, baking, reading, completing puzzles, building LEGO Creator sets, being outdoors, and spending quality time with her kids. She brings this same curiosity, creativity, and compassion to her work with families.
