Dr. Vanesa Buonopane holds over 10 years of clinical experience in the mental health field, treating individuals across the lifespan by providing comprehensive psychological evaluations. She obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, D.C. She holds clinical licensure in Maryland and Virginia.
Dr. Buonopane primarily provides comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adults, and older adults. While she is especially knowledgeable in neuropsychological disorders that generally occur in older adults (e.g., memory concerns, worsening cognitive complaints, and dementia), she is also well-versed in a variety of neurodevelopmental challenges, such as autism, ADHD, and learning disorders. Because psychological evaluations can be anxiety-provoking for many individuals, Dr. Buonopane attempts to bring a friendly, empathetic, and relatable presence to each testing session.
Outside of the office, Dr. Buonopane enjoys escaping into different worlds through reading and video games. She loves playing Pokémon GO with her partner on the weekends and going on walks together with their corgi, Daisy.
